Open Plan Living

Our clients in East Kilbride were looking for a large modern open kitchen to feature in their new extension.

One of their main priorities was for it to feel like a warm, welcoming space where they can entertain friends and family.

As well as this there was also a request for a coffee and drinks station that could be hidden from view when not in use.

Our Solution

At the centre of this large open plan space is an impressive kitchen island that serves as a focal point for both social and cooking activities. The centrepiece of this island is the state-of-the-art AEG induction hob with built-in extraction system, this eliminates the need for a traditional overhead hood. The minimalist design ensures unobstructed sightlines across the kitchen, fostering an open and inclusive atmosphere that complements the family’s love for hosting gatherings.

Adjacent to the main cooking area, the “coffee bar” boasts an impressive black glass roller door unit that can be used as a display cabinet when open and closes to hide away the coffee machine when not in use thus providing a clean, uncluttered space.
